MANAGE YOUR DATA & PRIVACY SETTINGS

You can delete specific data without closing your account. You have full control over your information.

DELETE INDIVIDUAL DATA WITHOUT DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

You don’t need to delete your entire account to remove data. You can:

Delete Individual Quotes – Long-press any saved quote and select “Delete”
Delete Collections – Remove custom collections from your Collections tab
Clear History – Settings → Manage Data → Delete View History
Reset Preferences – Settings → Manage Data → Reset App Preferences
Disable Analytics – Settings → Manage Data → Turn off Analytics
Opt-Out of Personalized Ads – Settings → Manage Data → Disable Personalized Ads

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR DATA IN-APP

Open Daily Spark on your device
Tap Settings (gear icon)
Tap “Manage Data”
Choose what you want to delete or adjust

DATA RETENTION TIMELINE

Account Information – Retained until you delete it
Saved Quotes & Collections – Until you delete them
App Preferences & Settings – Until you delete them
View History – Until you clear it
Analytics Data – 12 months
Crash Reports – 30 days
Google AdMob Data – ~90 days (per Google’s policy)
Legal/Compliance Records – As required by law

DATA COLLECTION PREFERENCES

In the “Manage Data” section, you can control:

Analytics & Crash Reports – Help us improve the app by sharing usage data
Personalized Ads – See ads tailored to your interests

Toggle these ON or OFF at any time in your app settings.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

We collect the following data:

User Account Information – Email and authentication data to keep you logged in
Saved Quotes & Collections – Your bookmarked quotes and custom collections
App Preferences – Your theme, language, and notification settings
View History – Information about which quotes you’ve viewed
Analytics Data – How you use the app (features used, session duration, crashes)
Advertising ID – For displaying relevant ads (can be reset in device settings)
General Location – City/country level location (never precise GPS)

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS 1.2+ encryption.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

You have the right to:

Access all your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Delete specific data without deleting your account
Export your data in a portable format
Opt-out of analytics and personalized ads
Request that we stop processing your data
